When the Executive Committee approves your application, agree to the European Space Agencies Terms and Conditions for the use of ESA data, by downloading a copy of the ESA Data Use Agreement, signing the bottom of the first page, and mailing or faxing the signed first page to the address on the form. Applicants from outside North America need not submit the ESA agreement.

UNAVCO staff will notify you when your application is approved.

All WInSAR Institutional Representatives automatically become Data Users and need not apply for Data User.

Application for Data User

First, you must be affliated with an Institutional Member of WInSAR. Please inform your institution Member Representative. See the list of institutions and representatives.

Second, send us the European Space Agencies Terms and Conditions for the use of ESA data. Please download a copy of the ESA Data Use Agreement, sign the bottom of the first page, and mail or fax the signed first page to the address on the form (UNAVCO Fax 303-381-7501).

Applicants from outside North America need not submit the ESA agreement.

Third, copy the lines below, paste them in an email message, fill in the fields, and email to winsar@unavco.org

UNAVCO staff will send you word when your application is accepted. This process may require a day or more.

Reason for affiliating with the WInSAR Consortium

According to WINSAR policy there are three classes of WInSAR data institutions: full access (U.S. Institutions); adjunct 1 (North American institutions outside of the U.S.), and adjunct 2 (remainder of world). These distinctions are required by our data agreements with the flight agencies, not by WInSAR alone. Full access members have access to all data in the UNAVCO WInSAR archive, and the ability to request UNAVCO to order new SAR data for you, to add to the archive. For how to order data, see http://winsar.unavco.org/help.php. Adjunct 1 memberships have access to all data in the UNAVCO WInSAR archive. Adjunct 2 memberships have access to ALOS data from the ancillary data page http://winsar.unavco.org/ancillary.php.

New or revised categories may be required as WInSAR changes its data agreements.
